I'm sitting here in my studio watching "Will & Grace", waiting for my daughter to get home from work. I can't fall asleep until I know she's home safe.I'm also trying to come up with ideas for the teacher workshop that I have next week. I hope someone answers my plea and gives me some good ideas.
This wooden "house" was part of a fundraiser that was held two months ago. Artists are asked to turn the houses into works of art, then they are auctioned. I like going to the auction and seeing the many different interpretations.
I was also looking at other blogs and there are some blogs out there that blow me away. I hope in time I can learn how to do some of the cool stuff I see in other blogs.

  1. Hi Nena! How about making paper beads? Rolling strips into beads or making a batch of pulp & forming into beads instead of sheets comes to mind. Or maybe use Have you posted a request for suggestions in the Etsy forums? You might also post in the Freethinkers team thread & ask for ideas, they're a pretty nice bunch. At least one art teacher among them, I think more.

Your blog's off to a nice start. Much better than my first one!

  2. Well, I lost a sentence in there somewhere, geez. Now I have no idea what I was going to suggest you "use". My train of thought just went sideways there.

I doubt it was something brilliant anyway ;-)

  3. Thanks for your suggestions, I had thought of making paper beads, especially since there will be some elementary teachers at the workshop. I'm still working on my blog, there are so many nice blogs out there, but I'm not computer savy.
